Following an investigation into a key event submission by 888 UK Limited trading as 888 (“the Licensee”), the Commission found that the Licensee: breached licence condition (“LC”) 6.1.2 – Use of Credit Cards. In line with the Commission’s Licensing, compliance and enforcement policy statement and the Statement of principles for determining financial penalties, the Commission has decided to: impose a financial penalty of £23,000 under section 121(1) of the Act. Commission Officials note that the Licensee self-identified the breach and proactively reported it to the Commission. The Licensee took immediate remedial action to address the identified failings and co-operated with the Commission throughout the investigation.
